Faith had been at the Xaiver school for a little over a month now. Suddenly she had found herself, for the first time in her life fitting in. Being accepted. It was wonderful to be around people who didn't consider her a freak or an abomination. Most of all she had really come into her own when it came to teaching. Faith, naturally taught physical education.
It was important for the youngsters to have that outlet. And the students loved Faith as a teacher. Faith who had been born to religious parents who abandoned her the moment they saw her; had raised herself. She had grown up in an abandoned library. Spending most of her time reading various books, Faith was a fountain of obscure knowledge. Her mutation was not one that you could easily hide.
It was her whole identity. She had even made a friend. A fellow teacher named Olivia Cromer. Olivia was very nice. Sweet. Funny. A bit shy like Faith. Class was over and the kids ran out. "Don't forget to practice controlling your powers! She called after them as they ran off. Faith was glad class was over. She was supposed to meet with Olivia for lunch.
She was heading out when she noticed a van parked across the street. She didn't take much notice of it at first but then she saw one of the students talking to a man inside the van. Faith watched a moment concerned and then relaxed when the man hugged the child and a woman, presumably his wife got out of the passenger's seat. Parents. It wasn't often parents came to visit the school. Mostly kids were like her, outcasts, black sheeps of the family but it warmed her heart just a little to see that it wasn't the absolute rule.
Faith, ironically didn't have much Faith in humanity. She was slowly healing. Making her way to Olivia's dorm she knocked. Quietly waiting she knocked again when there was no answer at first. Faith had to admit she was a little nervous about lunch. Olivia had suggested some place off campus. Some place with "great cheeseburgers that were to die for." Faith had very little faith in that as well, but she would not turn down lunch with the beautiful Olivia no matter how much it scared her. Faith knocked again growing a little impatient and a little worried.

Notes/OOC: Something relevant to the post, random joke or whatever tickles your fancy. This portion also scrolls so there is no fear of making the area look too awkward with a surplus of information. Enjoy.
